SAMES, through its Integrated Circuit Design Centre (ICDC), specialises in the design and testing of high- performance analogue and mixed-signal integrated circuits. ICDC has integrated its operations with the original design, marketing and test functions of SAMES, and it supports and manufactures SAMES products. For more than 25 years, SAMES was the only commercial semi-conductor manufacturing facility in Africa, and has consistently improved the performance of its products by introducing value-added features and reduced pricing in a bid to remain competitive in international markets.
SAMES has invested substantial resources in product development to remain competitive and relevant in a market which is extremely innovative. SAMES has pioneered a state-of-the-art energy-metering device which offers superior performance to customers. The company is continuing work on enhancing this innovative technology even further.
